Vanilla3 to Flarum > Warning: Undefined array key "type"

Using the latest nitro-porter I'm trying to migrate Vanilla3 to Flarum with:

porter run --source=Vanilla --input=vanilla-db-name --target=Flarum --output=flarum-db-name

I get this warnng:

@fretzl The connections in your config must have 'type' => 'database' included.

Both source and target connections have 'type' => 'database' in the config.

I've released 3.5.0 with some additional config validation / error reporting that I hope will get us to the bottom of the issue a bit faster.

Again using porter run --source=Vanilla --input=vanilla-db-name --target=Flarum --output=flarum-db-name

I now get:

Fatal error: Config error: No connection type for alias "flarum-db-name" in ~{user}/.composer/vendor/linc/nitro-porter/src/Config.php on line 91

@fretzl Can you share your Config.php with us, make sure you please remove the sensitive parts with junk data. I am in the process right now doing the exact same port from V3 to Flarium

I think the issue is that you are using the --input and --output command wrong

if you do a porter run --help you will see this help menu

Options:
  [--cdn|--cdn]            CDN prefix
  [--dumpsql|--dumpsql]    Output SQL instead of migrating
  [-h|--help]              Show help
  [-i|--input]             Source connection (defined in config)
  [-o|--output]            Target connection (defined in config)
  [-s|--source]            Name of source package
  [-x|--sourceprefix]      Source prefix
  [-t|--target]            Name of target package
  [-v|--verbosity]         Verbosity level [default: 0]
  [-V|--version]           Show version

You can see

[-i|--input]             Source connection (defined in config)
[-o|--output]            Target connection (defined in config)

These should be the defined aliases from your config. it looks like you are using your database table names here

Example of working command
porter run --source=Vanilla --target=Flarum --input=source --output=target

or in shortcodes for those playing along at home:
porter run -s Vanilla -t Flarum -i source -o target

You can give your connections in the config any alias you want you just have to use the same alias you gave them in the --input and --output argument

Just a note @linc that maybe would be nice to have the wording of the help command updated to say.

[-o|--output]         Target connection Alias (defined in config)

It could be confusing because in your examples you have example_db as the names you use and it looks like you should put your database names there!

Thanks for your advice!
However, for now I'm trying to migrate to an empty Flarum database which, according to the guide, should work.
At this point it doesn't really matter which scenario I use because I already ran into, what appears to be, a corrupted database.

did you run into an error because the dev just found an error in the code so if you want to update..

Not a nitro-porter error I think.
Apparently there are a lot of Incorrect datetime value: '0000-00-00 00:00:00' in the Vanilla database.
I don't think that is something nitro-porter can or should handle

I think I had the same issue and I had to update all my times stamps that were '0000-00-00 00:00:00 to some random old date. What table is this in and ill have a look to see what I did
