We already had an open issue (#11698) , but yeah you guys was right tap will not work in hostnetwork: true
We will really need a CNI (lack of ips) , right now, we are on a right track with Cilium. Is it somehow possible to make linkerd-viz with it? Otherwise we need to drop this functionality.
So you know, if its not in hostnetwork, it cant reach the api server, if its in hostnetwork, its not getting injected.
