Is this a new feature request?

  • I have searched the existing issues

Wanted change

The client side of this container would be a perfect candidate for a docker mod for all the other LSIO containers.

Reason for change

Sending other containers network through another container can be a bit of a mess. Forwarding ports etc.

The benefit is much simpler Wireguard networking on a container basis.

Proposed code change

I've made a frankenstein proof of concept here
https://github.com/chripede/docker-mods/tree/universal-wireguardvpn

It's basically the docker-mods template with this repo merged into it.

Just to clarify, there's nothing stopping you making/publishing a mod to do this, but it's not something we're willing to do as a 1st party mod due to the support burden it would create.
