Add the revision message or import log message "Metadata update" when publishing metadata on LDS.
Updating metadata shows as a revision in a layer's history with 0 adds, mods and deletes. A message would make it clear to users that the revision is for the metadata update.

This should be straight forward. unless it is part of importing data. A step we have discovered to be extraneous when dealing with drafts. Looking at the client lib docs have not seen reference to this.

As we would like to do this today (there is a some risk associated, I am on leave as of tomorrow) I will ask koordinates of this work flow as to be sure of the implementation

Hi @hamishcampbell I was hoping you could point me in the right direction. As outlined here when publishing metadata updates we would like to add a revision_message.

At which step in the create draft / update draft / publish draft workflow does one do this via the Koordinates python client?

Hi, I've replied to the other feature enhancement here: #27 (comment)

You'd add the revision message as a reference attribute to the draft version while updating it.

@iharrison what were we doing here? Is this still relevant?

This was when using the metadata updater script we'd have the option to add a reference. It just means users can see the update wasn't a data update. This is still relevant.
