Bounty Overview

We have identified an issue where the Windows binary for go-livepeer is no longer functioning correctly after merging the ai-video branch into master (see issue #3250). As the core team focuses on the upcoming AI video release, we are seeking assistance from orchestrators to resolve this problem.

Required Skillset

  • Proven experience with running go-livepeer on Windows.
  • Familiarity with debugging and building Windows binaries.

Bounty Requirements

To successfully resolve this bounty, you must:

  1. Diagnose and resolve the issues preventing the go-livepeer binary from functioning on Windows.
  2. Ensure all required dependencies for running the go-livepeer binary on Windows are correctly integrated and documented.

Scope Exclusions

  • None. All areas related to the issue are within scope.

Implementation Tips

  1. Investigate the GitHub action used to build Windows binaries. The issue might stem from:

    • A missing dependency in the build process.
    • Changes required to how the binary is built.
    • A new dependency needed on the host system.
  2. Reference the build configuration and dependency requirements for go-livepeer to ensure compatibility with Windows environments.

How to Apply

This bounty has been assigned to Kilout, who has expressed interest in addressing this issue. If you have been officially assigned this issue:

  • Communicate with the team as needed for context or clarification.
  • Provide regular updates on your progress in the issue thread.

Warning

Please ensure the issue is assigned to you before starting work. To avoid duplication of efforts, unassigned issue submissions will not be accepted.
