no dependency problem anymore, no error in the browser's console, but it is just not showing up

footnotes compatibility says:
capture d ecran 2017-01-09 a 17 17 39

and looking at the demo site, the version of ckeditor used is 4.4.5

Downgrading to 4.5.11 which is the 4.5 we can download ...

downgrading to 4.5, installing matching versions of plugins: sourcearea, removeformat, widget, footnotes: a15a341

no error but footnotes is not showing up:
