I have tried to single- and double-tap any folder including ".." in a file dialog. I've also tried the same with a Bluetooth keyboard with touchpad, both using the cursor, and arrow keys, enter, space, and backspace. I've also tried a Bluetooth controller, which moves the selection in the GUI but nothing happens when pressing the buttons on a folder in the file dialog.

So, there is no way to navigate anywhere from the initial location, which means you can't load a Kickstart or a disk image. (This i on a Nexus 6P running Android OS 8.1.0. UAE4ARM can navigate folders on the same phone.)

App Permissions > Storage is on. I have tried reinstalling the app and restart the device, but the problem persists.

Can someone confirm this?

I know that it worked some time before Nov 19, 2015. Current release is from Aug 2016.

I'm happy to help with this, but I don't have a Linux machine configured as described.

In the meantime, is there a trusted repository of older versions of the APK?
