This package seems really nice but I've noticed there has been a lack of recent updates. Are there plans to keep maintaining this?

I still use this project regularly and it seems to work great (FTP is a fairly stable protocol I guess). I haven't found a (maintained) alternative yet that I like.

I think it's perfectly safe to use, but just prepare yourself for disappointment if you hit an edge case that requires a fix.

I came here just to thank the creators and original maintainers @lucasmotta for this package. I am also still using it and I love how it just does one thing and does it well. It's a shame it's no longer maintained, I wish I had the confidence about my own skills to jump in :)
