Use cases

For when you want to disable downloads for certain files in a database.
My use case specifically is enabling or disabling the possibility to let the user download a media file from a pagebuilder component.

At the moment we handle the disabled stat with color which is not very accessible

To be honest, I'm not sure download-off is ever going to work because of legibility reasons.

I think maybe dashing the icon could be more accessible:

Alternatively, if this is a toggle button, you could use a toggle button, or if you really want to switch icons around, maybe something like download-check/download-x would be more obvious:

I think this will provide the biggest visual difference and therefor be more clear than the other options.

This might not be enough for persons with visual impairment as the X and Checkmark are quite small.
