Also seeing this since 6.32.0 and also with 6.33.0. CPU usage is seen despite AltTab not being actively used. Also the CPU normalizes after a while. But then the CPU spikes return and the fans go up for no apparent reason.

Just now wanted to create some debug info but while I was writing this comment, the CPU usage went down to 0,0 %. Will keep an eye on this.

The issue probably stems from #1437

in short, AltTab will attempt to get an app windows for a while, to avoid missing out on some windows. These attempts are probably causing the high CPU you see.

i don't have time to investigate, profile, etc, unfortunately. If someone wants to step up and find apps that create the issue, and suggest a workaround, that's everyone's only hope for a fix i'm afraid
