  • don't query the gsettings value(s) each time a menu is opened
  • (if using a section) delay the loading of a few milliseconds?
  • [ ] (if using a submenu) load big submenus only when the user opens it no, a delay is fine

Add a delay before loading the items

this has 2 goals:

- whatever errors happen, the default existing menu will still works fine
- if there are tons of data to load (numerous files, numerous bookmarks, ...) it will not freeze the launcher and its menu
