The semi-hidden debug panel, opened with ! shortcut stopped working

The semi-hidden debug panel, opened with ! shortcut is not working in Maputnik v1.7.0
This is likely a regression since it used to work fine in some prior versions

I see that the panel is showing when clicking "!":

I think there is a problem with the renderer configuration so it doesn't show everything it should, see here:

If you change the render to OL and then back to Maplibre you'll get the relevant options:

While not ideal, this issue has a workaround...
