Even though I select the "Edit in id" option, "RapID" is always shown as default when editing the map. Even though I select others, "RapID" is always shown. How can I use ID as the default?

The editor you are seeing within maproulette is a Rapid specific iFrame, it's unrelated to the user setting/completion widget. The button in the completion widget the says "Edit in ID" is for opening external editors.

Right now we do not have a built in ID editor in MapRoulette. It's possible we could have a build in iD editor in the future, but I'm not sure when that would be if it happens.

Yea to further clarify @Sadrettin86

  • there's two editing modes in MapRoulette, Classic and Edit.
  • Edit mode will always show Rapid editor in the MapRoulette environment
  • Classic mode will let you choose which external editor to use, that is what the dropdown menu is for.

I understand that this might be confusing and we're working on a way to make that part of the UI clearer. In one of the upcoming releases you will see some improvement there. In the meantime I hope this explanation helps you.
