Hi. It looks like nobody has free time for this project. The current snapshot is broken after several merged pull requests. Plase talk to the project owner (Marcel) if you want to become a comitter. Thank you

Hi @cpopov,

dhaber fixed #42 which also fixes #42. He also changed the docu accordingly and I fixed the test cases there. This means the current snapshot looks stable to me and uses an up to date 1.6 less version.
Does someone has the time to release that to Maven Central? If not I'm willing to do that as I need to have that released for my JCRBrowser project in any case. You can remove my committer rights afterwards.
Thanks in advance for taking the time to consider my request and offer!

Best,

Sandro

Hi Sandro, Marcel can give you rights to do so. There is docs in oss how to
release to maven central. I am on Holiday at the moment and I am afraid I
will have no time at all.

Hi Christophe,
thanks for your feedback. I'm glad that you consider that I can release a new version. I'm not sure what you mean with 'oss' in this case. But I've already released a library to Maven Central so I guess I will get it managed.
Enjoy your holiday!

Best,

Sandro

@marceloverdijk do you agree - can you please give me the rights to release a new version of lesscss-java?

@sandroboehme I've opened issue to grant you permissions. Please track https://issues.sonatype.org/browse/OSSRH-9023

Thanks! I will track that.
I just found a potential bug in lesscss-java when using it from the lesscss-maven-plugin. I would like to have it fixed before releasing it.
The Maven plugin has an integration test that sets a custom js file which leads to 'org.mozilla.javascript.EcmaError: ReferenceError: "window" is not defined.'

Fixed by using the rhino version of the less.js.

Hi @marceloverdijk,

I would like to upload a jar to Maven Central that is tagged in your repo with the right version and the right pom. This is only possible when having commit rights to your repo. I cannot do this in my repo and send a pull request. Even if the tag would be transfered the Maven release plugin uses the git repo in the pom as the target of the git push. If I would change it to my repo the released pom would contain my repo. If I would change it to yours afterwards, the released pom would be correct but the pom tagged with the release version would not be the same as the one that has been released.
Can you please give me temporary commit rights? You can remove them after a week or two if you want. Then I will be able to create a release for lesscss-java to Maven Central.

Best,

Sandro

I see a lot of activity lately which is good. However I don't have the time to follow up to questions etc.

Would it be a good to transfer this repo to an organization managed by someone else than me.
Maybe to https://github.com/less @cloudhead?

Any ideas are welcome to move less-java and less-maven-plugin move forward!

We could move it, however I don't think the team has time to maintain it. It would still require an owner.

Hi @cloudhead, I think one of the other committers will be willing to take ownership.

/cc @sandroboehme @cpopov

Imo moving to less org would be best to foster project further.

Guys, @sandroboehme @cpopov @davidmc24 anyone feeling ok to take ownership of lesscss-java and lesscss-maven-plugin to transfer projects to less organization?

/cc @cloudhead

Hi @marceloverdijk, I'm sorry taking ownership is too much for me. But I'm willing to create the next release for lesscss-java and lesscss-lesscss-maven-plugin under the official org.lesscss namespaces. I would release the same content that I already released under org.sandroboehme plus #15 if we find a way to go there.
