I think this guide would be greatly enhanced if it used an actual functioning application to demonstrate the features (could perhaps start with https://github.com/tastejs/todomvc/tree/gh-pages/examples/backbone_marionette). It wouldn't have to be all that fancy - perhaps using something like https://github.com/typicode/json-server for the data - but right now it's just so many words.

How about screenshots and diagrams to illustrate what it should look like?
