Astra DB is a serverless database-as-a-service and document-style data API for both vector and structured data. This GitHub Copilot extension enables a developer to use natural language chat to create queries and code.
Prerequisites and Set-up
- User has created a DataStax Astra account
- User is part of an organization that has a Copilot license
Installation, Sign-in & Auth
Installation only needs to happen once (likely the Admin), however Authorization needs to happen for each user.
- Ensure you are signed in to Github with the account you want to link.
- Click the Install button.
- Go through the Authorization flow, sign in to Astra, select your Astra org and acknowledge the permissions
- Once authorized, go to the Copilot chat window and @datastax in the chat interface and you should be ready to chat with us!

Quickly fetch info about your Astra DBs and learn how to use the wider Astra ecosystem
