You should already be able to export jobs as the job export endpoint has been available for some time.

Any high level summary of what is not working or Rundeck 2.0?

Very high level...

1. the new API endpoints that were added in Rundeck 2 (and later releases) have not been implemented
   1. there's no compatibility problems per se (unless you want to use one of the interfaces)
   2. pull requests welcome
2. there's no support for using Rundeck 2's JSON interfaces
   1. rundeckrun uses the XML responses from Rundeck heavily
   2. this would require a significant effort to switch over to using the JSON responses
   3. very little gain as it doesn't change much, if anything, for consumers of this client
