move code out of book and into examples #122

move all the code snippets in the mdbook into standalone examples
replace the moved code by including sections of the examples (see e.g. https://rust-lang.github.io/mdBook/format/mdbook.html#:~:text=Including%20portions%20of%20a%20file&text=The%20last%20command%20includes%20the,a%20pair%20of%20matching%20lines.)
make sure the output of the code is still going to the same place so that it is show in the book
