ie 8 freezes using eid-applet

The ie8 of my colleague freezes when he launches an application using the 
eid-applet.  

On my computer (I use ie8), it works fine.

Which settings do I have to enable or to disable in the internet options ?

He (my colleague) tried with ff and it works fine.  But the eid-application 
will be deployed with our application "Candidats locataires" on the web 
(www.brucity.be) and we are not sure the versions used by the people on the web.

I will compare my settings with him.
