Spotify updated their ToS which will start at the 1st March, saying that blocking ads is now illegal and it will result in a termination of the account.

See this Verge article for source.

What will you do about it? I am worried...

Personally i'll export my spotify playlist on feb 28 and if my account is deleted i'll just create another one and add again all my songs and find a new adblocker

edit : spotify said they will block adblocker but this doesnt mean this adblocker will trigger spotify protection against adblocker

It's out of my hands, use at your own risk.

Is it possible to play the ad muted without blocking the playlist?

Is it possible to play the ad muted without blocking the playlist?

Should probably use EZBlocker then.

I tried it already, but that still blocks the next song from playing...

Hope you find a way around this. Thanks for your work so far.

Why would premium users use an ad-block

So my account had not been blocked. Anyone else? Is it safe, or should I uninstall?

If your account is that precious then why would you take the risk?

Like someone else said, you can either export your lists, or because I don't care for playlists and only listen when I feel like it, I just use a disposable account, and if it gets banned, I'll make a new one and continue.

Either way, Spotify is made up of incompetent fools. They won't give us a light theme, can't get a "clear queue" button working across every platform, and have a messy forum structure. The clear queue button issue has been going on since 2012 and still hasn't been fixed. Thank you for making this so I don't have to give any money to these goons. Unfortunately that means the artists too, but let's be realistic, how much actually goes to artists?

Either way don't mind if my account gets banned. A refreshed working cracked deezer APK came out a few days ago so can move there as a backup.

It's not because you have an adblocker that artist don't get revenue, of course there will be a decrease but listening to a song for 30 seconds gives him some money

Been a month, haven't noticed anything and no one's account from my friends is banned.

It's that easy to create a new account that the only concern should really be backing up your playlists, so this isn't really a massive issue anyway.
