Current user guide is out-of-date regarding the BDV sidepane #6

The user guide has shortcut keys for:

  • S: Brighness and color dialog
  • F6: Visibility and groupings dialog

IIUC these have been deprecated in favour of the sidepane. However there is no documentation on how to display the sidepane, and no menu option to do so. A simple View > Sidepane toggle would be helpful, and an update to the latest manual:

Moving around in the BDV views

This prevents me from configuring my multi-channel images as I used to be able to do with the brightness and visibility dialogs.

If I understand the issue correctly, it is related to this mastodon-sc/mastodon#285

In the BDV this can be accessed using the mouse. It is a bit hidden though:

Thanks, that works. But it is not documented and without a menu item to do the same then it is not self-documenting through the menu.
