I installed matrix-synapse on my server using apt-get install. Installing the slinding-sync proxy as describe in the documentation might not be very suitable since it would have a cost in term of maintenance. What is the future of this project ? Will it be integrated into synapse ? Will a debian package be released ?

It is planned to be integrated into Synapse on a timescale of "months".
