Some emoji (like clock emoji) they don't get bridged from Matrix to WhatsApp as a big emoji when sent in an emoji-only message, something which does happen with other emoji (like 🙂).

As shown in WhatsApp ("Matrix:" meaning that the message was bridged from Matrix to WhatsApp, and "WhatsApp:" meaning that the message was sent in WhatsApp):
