I kindly request to include the module on https://launchpad.net/~maxmind/+archive/ubuntu/ppa.

So that we can get it easily with apt-get instead of building by hand.

With thanks,
Peter

Just wanted to let you guys know, that I have build some libapache2-mod-maxminddb packages in my PPA.
https://launchpad.net/~sgreiner/+archive/ubuntu/maxminddb

Also I just saw the Pull request #58
maybe you want to download my source packages and improve them for your official ones.

I am by far no expert in packaging but maybe it is useful for you.
Having those packages in the official maxmind PPA or even Ubuntu would be awesome.

My servers are setup with ansible and manual compiling during deployment was no way to go for me.

Any progress on this issue? Hope to see it included in the PPA soon.

Hi @sgreiner,

I'm encountering the following error when trying to install this :

E: The repository 'https://ppa.launchpadcontent.net/sgreiner/maxminddb/ubuntu bookworm Release' does not have a Release file.

Help ?

Thanks

@KaKi87 Launchpad only builds for Ubuntu. So it is expected to not have any releases for Debian 12 (Bookworm).
But you could try downloading deb file of libapache2-mod-maxminddb jammy and installing it with dpkg.
I think it should work, but I have of course not tested it.

Would you be able to make a release for Ubuntu noble, @sgreiner ?
