Cusomize video length

I've just installed Open Dash Cam and love the simplicity. These apps generally try to do way too much. My only issue is the noise that sounds very 45 seconds when recording starts and stops. I've set the option to mute the phone and even muted it globally but the noise still sounds on my Huawei Honor 7. It may be a feature of the phone rather than the app but the effect could be much reduced if the option to record longer videos was present. If I could record five or ten minute videos, the occasional noise would be more tolerable.
