The new System Integrity Protection feature in OS X 10.11 (El Capitan) prevents writing files in /System folders. This causes the current setup.py script to fail during the install execution.

simple fix, not any reason OSX needs to do this.
will fix similar to https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum/blob/2.5.4/setup.py#L18

@ELM4Ever apologies for the delay tending to this - finally have El Capitan running on a fresh machine - will have a look at this and get it fixed.
