Priority Areas for Reforestation gcash donation paypal donation

A repository containing the analysis of possible reforestation sites for areas affected by Typhoon Odette using the vulnerability assessment framework.

This repository consists of the following files:

Study Area

The regions that were affected includes: BARMM, CARAGA, Central Visayas, Eastern Visayas, Western Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao and Davao Region.

The layers under the Impact factor of our analysis are as follows:

  1. Number of Deaths
  2. Number of Injuries
  3. Number of Missing People
  4. Non-passable Roads
  5. Non-passable Bridges
  6. Damaged Communication Lines
  7. Number of Damaged Houses
  8. Damage to Agriculture
  9. Damage to Infrastructure
  10. Distance from Path of Typhoon

This layer below is a combination of all the data above, which was then normalized and categorized into Low Impact, Medium Impact and High Impact.

The resolution of this analysis is only limited by the data that are publicly available online, however, the results of this analysis can be a good precursor as to where we need to perform further analysis at a higher resolution or as to where we could possibly start coordinating with the local government units.
