On raspberry pi 2 model B, when I start previewing the video though the official Raspberry Pi module, signal from the GPS Add-On disappears. Here is a repro video clip, showing the output of "cgps -s" while streaming camera to a monitor: https://www.dropbox.com/sc/u0jk3bqsrbtth6g/AACnYh81zYfx9iTm7ECglJ3Wa

Same thing happened on Raspberry Pi A+.

It is probably starved for power. Use a higher amperage power supply.

I have the same problem like alevchuk said that gps stops working on running camera module. I have used a separate power supply to power up gps module but the issue remains the same!!! I am using Model b+ if you have any other solution kindly reply us as soon as possible.waiting anxiously for your reply!!!

Solved: I switched to a different GPS add-on board ( http://ava.upuaut.net/store/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=117 ) the web page claims that the board has "very low power usage". Now, GPS works even when the camera is running.

Likely, the power consumption was the reason.
