Configuration does not work

Hello,
I am having issues with the configuration as the title implies.
What I did was I tried to follow the examples given on the wiki, with some modded creatures, but it did not do or change anything.
I then just copied and pasted the example just to see if that would work, the example where the wolf is changed and given small fire. By copying and pasting that into the morph json file, still did nothing.
Is there something I am doing wrong?
