Git credential manager keeps spamming me login forms

Which Version of GCM are you using ?
From a command prompt, run git credential-manager version and paste the output.

Expected behavior
No popups.

Actual behavior
I keep getting random popups. This is very annoying. Please stop doing this.

It seems git credential manager keeps checking some credential every x minutes and if it fails it shows the popup. I cannot seem to disable this.
