Hello,
Installing the new version (XmlNotepadSetup.zip) I have this error as seen in the screenshot. This problem cropped up already with version 2.9.0.9

The problem also occurs in version 2.9.0.10
The update notes (2.9.0.10) still lead to the version 2.9.0.9 notes.

I still cannot produce this error, I can install on other drives no problem. Please make sure the folder you specify actually exists.

In the meantime, thanks for your precious work ...
However, once again launching "Standalone downloadable installer" gives the same error message.
The folder does exist.

I did a manual installation by extracting the files from the .cab
So now I have the updated version to 2.9.0.11

Ok, thanks for trying the new version. I have fixed the https://lovettsoftwarestorage.blob.core.windows.net/downloads/XmlNotepad/Updates.xml file so it now shows the new version info.

One thing you could do to help debug this is run msiexec to manually install xmlnotepad from a cmd.exe terminal with this command line:

msiexec /i XmlNotepadSetup.msi /l* install.log

Then zip up the install.log file and attach it to a reply to this thread. I just ran this on my machine and this is the log file that I see:
install.zip

So we could compare log files to see where things are going wrong.
