so we have a lot of different branches and looks like when i click on create pull request, it will load the first branch on the list and then it will add title and description base on that which is actually adding a bunch of details as this is an old branch that we need to keep there.. is there a way to set the target branch for origin/main as default when clicking on create pull request?

Hi @elvis0288

I'm not sure if it's doable with the Azure DevOps plugin for IntelliJ, but I just wanted to let you know about an alternative that might help: my AZD IntelliJ Plugin, in the AZD you can set the target branch when creating the Pull request.

Although it's not free, you can benefit from a 10-day free trial to see if it suits your needs. You can read reviews and see what people are saying about it on the JetBrains Marketplace and in this JetBrains blog post:

Plugin Spotlight on JetBrains Marketplace AZD Plugin

For more information, check out the documentation. If you have bugs to report or feature requests, feel free to use the issue tracker.

Cheers,

Jonathan
