Pressing ` or (backspace) doesn't light up the menu or reset buttons #6511

When you press the arrow keys or Space, q, etc. they light up the respective buttons on the simulator:

(I'm holding space in this picture)

But ` and Backspace to open the menu and reset don't light up the respective buttons on the simulator:
