I also has ssh issue. I'm on macOs Sonoma version 14.5, I can connect to the host locally, but it shows failed to parse remote port from server output when I tried to connect it on vs code.

not sure what's the cause but as an work around I had to set "remote.SSH.useExecServer" = false
