After updating VSCode (Version 1.97), I was logged out of my Microsoft account. When I tried to sign back in, it kept prompting me for both email and password multiple times, then failed with the error:
NativeAuthError: Unexpected: (pii)
I tried:
Restarting VSCode
Clearing authentication sessions
Running with extensions disabled
Deleting stored credentials
Running as Administrator
None of these worked. However, rolling back to Version 1.96 solved the problem.
