I'd love to be an Inbox Zero-ist, but if I get there, it will be a long way away.
I'd find it very motivating to have a tracking graph (only need to sample 1-4x/day) with a line for total inbox size and a line for unread inbox items. I'll have a constant influx forever, but chipping away at it wouldn't hurt so much if I could see a steady decline.

Thunderbird doesn't save that information over time. I have access only to the current number of mails in the inbox. I could save that information once a day and then show how it changes over time.
It will work only from the first time the feature will be installed.
Thanks for your suggestion!
With the new ThunderStats there is no need to save daily the information.
We could add this chart to the Many Days Tab.
Added milestone 2.x. It will be added in a future release.
