Problem with Lab03-01

I'm getting this issue when running Lab03-01:

The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000018). Click on OK to terminate the application.

I'm running Windows XP SP2 64-bit. Tried rebooting, and reinstalling the Service Pack.

Yes, just tried another Windows XP version and it worked

Home edition or something about it

Lab03-01.exe, Lab03-02.dll, and Lab03-03.exe are not compatible with windows > XP. Lab3-04.exe should work however.

how did you got the labs, i am not able to extract any of them?
