There is not functionality to iterate over a directory of files. Pull request #35 solves this.

Such support exists. See http://mallet.cs.umass.edu/import-devel.php and http://mallet.cs.umass.edu/api/. FileIterator has a constructor that accepts an array of Java File objects (which can be directories).
