Describe the feature request.

Adding terminal extensions to the AP terminal to speed up workflow of power users.

Terminal Extensions (rough priority order):

  • oh-my-zsh (being able to access the .files for zsh for plugin management)
  • zsh-autocomplete
  • zsh-autosuggestions
  • zsh-fast-syntax-highlighting
  • zsh-syntax-highlighting

Describe the context.

Value / Purpose

After developing terminal skills in Data Engineering, it's very slow and cumbersome navigating the terminal on the AP. This would speed up my workflow immensely.

Also it would be helpful to allow power users to install custom extensions that may help improve their workflow.

Request Forum: @parminder-thindal-moj to attempt to install the extensions in user directory and add errors encountered to the request. Team will then review and agree next steps

I have tried installing brew and zsh (a pre-requisite to oh-my-zsh) respectively but get permission denied errors.
