flexible response options layout

In miQuest's selectOne question type, the default style is vertical list, and there is also horizontal and multiButtons. It would be helpful to add 'flexible' in which 'multiButtons' is used if all the options fit in one row, and 'vertical' if they do not. I've seen something similar in Qualtrics. Although Qualtrics doesn't update the list well with window resize, perhaps it is possible to do.
