Gereat extension. Can be made excellent by adding GPT as an auto classification option. GPT is excellent at Zero-shot classification.

Please see chatgpt example below

https://chatgpt.com/share/67488385-3e98-800d-8841-5cacbb2aa7be

PS, you can ask at the end of the example chat for GPT to create the JS code to make the call !!!

obviously User will have to provide AGPT API key

PPS I am happy to provide you Python code to do the GPT API functioanility, ley me know, I dont know JS.

Dear @minutogit,

I’m the author of ThunderAI, a Thunderbird add-on that allows users to interact with various AI services (ChatGPT, Gemini, Ollama, and other OpenAI-compatible APIs).

I’m considering adding an API to ThunderAI, using the Thunderbird internal messaging system, that would enable other add-ons to use it as a proxy, eliminating the need to reimplement features I’ve already developed, such as custom prompts, and data placeholders.

We could collaborate on drafting the API specifications and test them together to ensure they meet the necessary requirements.

Would you be interested in this?

Thank you!

Mic

Hello @micz ,

thank you for your message.

At the moment, I’m only doing the bare minimum for the add-on since I’m focusing on other projects. That’s why I’m not sure how much capacity I have to properly support you.

So far, the add-on achieves quite a good accuracy with just a few emails, and I’m not sure if using GPT in this small add-on would provide a significant added value.

However, if you already have some ideas for an API, feel free to share them. Maybe something will come out of it after all.

Best regards,
Sebastian

I understand your point, there is no rush, this is an hobby for us both. 😊

I'll work on some ideas and share it.
Thank you!
