There's some overlap between hub and github-gem, but I can't find any explanation of why both projects exist, and when one should be used versus the other. Clearly it's not NIH syndrome since they were both written by you ;-) github-gem hasn't been updated in 11 months, so maybe it's deprecated?

Please can you add some clarification to both READMEs? Thanks!

Agreed, I stumbled first on gihub-gem which didn't even work and then only later found hub, clarification would be needed :)

I think this discussion should remain in the github-gem repository (defunkt/github-gem#89). Can we close this issue out in favor of putting the comparisons/history/relevance in the README over on the github-gem?

Personally I use the hub wrapper daily, but haven't used the github-gem in years.

Agreed. Since the other project is the one that is stale, clarification should be added there instead of here. I don't have write access to the other project, so I can't help with that.

Closing this non-issue (from our end)
