It only works on 1.20.4

How hard would it be to add support for other 1.20.x versions? Is it a trivial thing or something more complex? Could I edit the pack myself to make it compatible for 1.20.1 specifically?

Impossible to add support for older versions. These experimental blocks were only added in 1.20.3, so you need a full mod that backports them to 1.20.1
