SyntaxError when mailgun down during account creation

Description

• On 10/15/20, the mailgun service had an issue where it suspended the xpro domain in error
• During that time period, two sentry errors were generated
  1. SyntaxError https://xpro.mit.edu/create-account/confirm-sent/ - This looks like a bug
  2. AnymailRequestsAPIError /api/register/email/ - This one looks unavoidable

Steps to Reproduce

• Set up your environment to emulate the behavior of mailgun suspending service in an effort to reproduce the error
• Note that it appears to be in the process of creating an account

Expected Behavior

• The code would better handle the error

Actual Behavior

• Throws an error
