Are options for high-level Python project management considered? #1446
-
Hi, I've been lately enjoying Rye (and now uv) for Python project management. I particularly like their workspace feature, which makes integration in other projects very straightforward: just add a dependency as a Git submodule to your project and declare it as a workspace member. Rye/uv then takes care of installing all workspace members in a common virtual environment. I think that would be very relevant to many Mitsuba use cases. Is a transition to such project management tools considered by the development team? |

I actually realized that a project can be added to a namespace even if it does not use Rye or uv, so I guess my question is irrelevant from a user's perspective. I'll close this. |
