Adding relevant gifs to the manual

a hardware manual should provide gifs for various sections, something like this. https://support.serato.com/hc/article_attachments/360003883775/import.gif
Some sections which I think can improve with gifs are :

• Example Setups
• Live Broadcasting - Start your own Internet radio
• Effects and skins
• DJing With Mixxx
• DJ Hardware
• setting up and Controlling Mixxx

Instead of reading, gifs will be a quicker and easier way to set up working with mixxx.

I mildly disagree. GIFs are not printable and also personally I often find it very distracting to read text which have animated GIFs next to them. Also, they are often very fast and they lack proper playback controls to pause or rewind them.

I think linking to YouTube Videos would be the better choice. These should either be short or have table of contents with timestamps, so that you can navigate them quickly.

I agree with @Holzhaus, though I really doubt the Mixxx manual will ever be printed.
I can't imagine any suitable context for GIFs except explaining track drag-and-drop actions. Simpler topics can well be explained with static images -- more complex topics are better dealt with in videos IMO

@som23ya Do you have any specific example issue you think will be improved with an animation?

I had come across this blog and therefore I suggested this idea. I do agree that maybe adding this to the manual might make it a bit cumbersome. However, the website can be revamped a bit by maybe changing the screenshots section with just a gallery section with pics, gifs, and youtube video links to make mixxx website more approachable. https://mixxx.org/screenshots/
