I'd like to make speech note my exclusive and default text editor however without the ability to open multiple tabs, it's not currently not viable. It would be potentially helpfull to have a multiple column mode also with one column for listening for audio notes of what I would be reading on a different column.

Honestly, I don't think Speech Note can replace any decent text editor. There are simply too many features to implement. Speech Note is good in easy-to-use and quick STT/TTS of few sentences and, if needed, copy-paste them to more powerful text processor.

Yes, you are right, it is difficult to read and transcribe at the same time. This "double column" mode is interesting. I'll check what can be done. Most likely I won't be able to implement anything for the upcoming release, but maybe in the next one.
