Data file on OS X? Multiple returns deleted snippet

What steps will reproduce the problem?
Difficult to say. I was hitting multiple returns and suddenly an entire
snippet disappeared. I lost multiple notes. 

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Notes associated with a snippet listing of snippet at top of window
disappeared. 

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Where is the data file stored on OS X?

I tried looking at the version with import/export feature, but when I
launched it after installing in /Applications/snippley2/ directory, the
application launched empty.
