#Project Structure - Point-of-Sale Invoice Software

This is the project structure for a simple point-of-sale invoice software with tax/GST. The application is built with a backend using Node.js and Express, and a frontend using React.

Backend

The backend part of the application is located in the backend/ folder. It includes the following files and directories:

  • db.js: The file that configures the Sequelize database connection with environment variables.
  • index.js: The entry point of the backend application, which sets up the server and connects to the database.
  • models/: Contains the Sequelize model definitions for the different database tables.
    • customer.js: The model definition for the Customer table.
    • product.js: The model definition for the Product table.
    • invoice.js: The model definition for the Invoice table.
    • invoiceItem.js: The model definition for the InvoiceItem table.
    • dayBook.js: The model definition for the DayBook table.
  • routes/: Contains route handlers for different resources (customers, products, invoices, invoice items, day-book transactions).
    • customers.js: Handles CRUD operations for customers.
    • products.js: Handles CRUD operations for products.
    • invoices.js: Handles CRUD operations for invoices.
    • invoiceItems.js: Handles CRUD operations for invoice items.
    • dayBook.js: Handles CRUD operations for day-book transactions.

Frontend

The frontend part of the application is located in the frontend/ folder. It includes the following files and directories:

  • public/: Contains the static assets and the index.html file.
  • src/: Contains the React application code.
    • components/: Contains reusable React components used across different pages.
