This repository contains training material for the Introduction to Git and GitHub training session, run by the MoJ Analytical Platform tools training group.
Before the session, make sure you are set up on the Analytical Platform - see the Quickstart guide in the user guidance. Also, make sure you have followed the steps to set up RStudio.
In RStudio, clone the repository for this course by selecting File > New project. In the New Project Wizard, select Version Control, then Git, and fill in the following:
- Repository URL: [email protected]:moj-analytical-services/intro_to_github_training.git
- Project directory name: intro_to_github_training
- Create project as subdirectory of: ~
The main training presentation is in the Word document Intro to Git and Github.docx. The session also uses the PowerPoint presentation GitGitHub slides.pptx.
Training sessions are run several times a year. You can find a recording of a recent session in the training guide.
If you want to work through the material on your own, go through the Word document and switch to the PowerPoint slides at the points it refers to them.
